This museum is housed in the former City Hall, a historic building designed for the Archbishop
of Bourges in the 17th century by the architect Bullet and situated right next
to Saint Etienne's Cathedral.
Occupying two floors, the collections of award-winning masterpieces, souvenirs and medals recall the history of the movement since its creation by the Government in 1924, in different trade categories selected from the 200 professions allowed to take part in this annual competition.
The large room on the ground floor is used for the temporary exhibitions which each year are devoted to a trade or activity related to the work of the Best French Craftsmen.
