Free activities such as exhibitions, conferences, story-telling sessions, meetings with writers....... The staff are available to help in the exploitation of these resources but the library is organised so that visitors can use it independently.

Quatre Piliers library

quatre pilliers library100 000 manuscripts, incunabula, books, maps, prints, postcards, microforms, periodicals. Access to the library is indirect for the best possible document preservation. Collection of 20 000 old books including a special collection of over 16 000 local items. Numerous periodicals and reference books for contemporary needs. Copies of books and journal articles not available locally can be obtained from other sources in France and even other countries. Catalogues : printed, card index, in course of computerisation. Frequent exhibitions.

Gibjoncs library

31000 books for adults, 14600 books for children, 1100 videocassettes,1000 DVD, CD, periodicals. Activities : story-telling sessions, exhibitions ..... computerised catalogue.

Val d'Auron library

Located near the shopping centre, this was the first library to lend out records and video-cassettes. 10 000 books for children, 3 500 records, 3 000 video-cassettes, 30 periodicals. Activities : story-telling sessions, exhibitions ..... computerised catalogue.
