Springtime for poets (March)
This national event is represented in Bourges by " Poets in Berry". For a week, a festival of poetry takes place. Throughout the city, poets, singers, writers and actors are welcomed for readings and recitals and evenings of poetry and song.

International Scriptwriters Festival (April)
Based on a double goal of art and education, the festival is a true place of learning allowing all generations to participate in a festive and relaxed environment. The International Scriptwriters Festival gives the general public access to high quality professionalism, thanks to the debates, forums and live events.
The Festival of Records and Cartoons (April)
Nearly one hundred and fifty exhibitors come from the four corners of France and also from Europe, to exhibit hundreds of thousands of records and comic strips both new and second hand. Alongside our comic strip heroes and vinyl stars, are the flesh and blood artists on this Sunday of concerts and signings.

Printemps de Bourges (April)
Highlight of the annual music calendar, the Printemps de Bourges, since its creation in 1977, has very quickly become an irreplaceable, major event in France and Europe.
Bandits-mages (every odd year)
Forget the humdrum images on the TV! Here is a festival where everything you see and hear will challenge you. Art invades the screen, computers, loudspeakers... Video, cinema, C.D.ROM, live TV, performances: it's beautiful, it's strange, it's disturbing, it's magic!

Choraliades (June)
For one week, the choral societies and orchestras of the primary schools and colleges of Bourges and Cher take to the stage and present the public with a number of high quality concerts.

BulleBerry (October)
See cartoon drawings exhibited in the city's historic buildings. Original drawings, meetings with the authors, and signings are all in the program.

The International Festival of Ecological Film (2nd weekend of October)
This festival was created in 2005 to both showcase and award works on ecology and to set up a publicity campaign on the need for protecting our planet and for enriching the legacy of future generations.

National Cinema and Video Meeting (2nd weekend of October)
The best of some 500 films, selected in the clubs of the French Federation of Cinema and Video, (FFCV) are presented during the 4 days of the National Meeting in Bourges.

Advertising and Toy Fair (October)
During a Sunday, the Corn Exchange transforms into Ali-Baba's cave with a treasure trove of old advertising objects, posters and games and toys from another age.
