Bourges has 172 sports' associations with a total of 21 000 members.

In addition to the women basketball players of Bourges Basket, at the top of the euroligue championship, many athletes practising a wide variety of sports take part in competitions.

Athletes of the Société Municipale de Bourges were finalists of the gymnastics french cup, and Signature motor race team takes part in many international races.
